Being happy with your work

I painted this almost 2 years ago.  I have this thing about not liking my work after I’ve had it for awhile and the urge to paint over things becomes very strong.  I have painted over many many old pieces that I disliked for different reasons and I was worried about trying to ‘upgrade” an old painting because it’s sooooo easy to over work and ruin a painting. This one I liked but I didn’t feel that it represented me properly because while I liked the concept I wanted to upgrade the paint handling. I think it’s important to be happy or atleast be able to tolerate your old work. It was originally part of my first solo show.
